Heavy rain had managed to ingress this 3 storey property in Mile End through two floors with a recent heavy downpour so our client had called us to make repair quickly, With no access point from the building to the roof the only way to inspect was up the front of the building and with a ladder with a reach in excess of 35 feet. once we had got to the roof to inspect it had come apparent the issue was being caused by a small defect by the chimney. We made a repair there and then and was away within 15 minutes, This type of issue could of been easily avoided with a planned maintenance schedule as this is usually the best way to manage roof maintenance on property’s like this rented example as it solves issues before they become an issue. Our maintenance divisions look after many property’s with planned maintenance from single dwellings to residential blocks and offices alike. Just not this one in Mile end though.

We had seen the repairs made to the chimney and this type pf repair can only be temporary so we installed a new felt apron to the chimney chased into the wall.
